Felix’s goose, who lays golden eggs, is goose-napped by none other than Captain Kidd. Felix saves the day. A nice swashbuckling cartoon. Produced in 1936.

This was a genuine return to my child hood. Felix was one of my favorite cartoon characters and this show brought back thoughts of sitting in front of the TV on a wintery saturday morning with my feet proped on top of the heating duct for warmth.
The film copy retains a good amount of color and the “flicker” from the 13 frames per second projection speed adds to the experience.

This is a later sound Felix toon, which means its far less interesting and creative. Felix battles Captain Kidd to win back his goose that lays golden eggs. This is really just a standard adventure toonÃ?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?it could have just as easily starred Popeye as Felix. And when you can manipulate the environment as Felix can, who needs gold? Felix was really wasted here.

This is one of my all-time favorite cartoons. So many memorable moments. Felix is a wonderful combination of energy, compassion, appropriate aggression, and humor.

Defying the basic laws of economics, Felix uses his goose to alleviate poverty in the town and buoy the spirits of its citizens. But when the nefarious Captain Kidd subdues our favorite animated feline and abducts the prize-producing poultry, Felix proves that even small individuals can stand up to big bullies if they harness a little ingenuity and derring-do!!

OK Felix cartoon here I guess. Here he keeps the townpeople happy by sharing the wealth he has from a goose that lays golden eggs. How or why he has this goose is never really explained. Anyways, when the goose is stolen by a pirate, Felix has to use all his prowness (and his unexplained cannon marksmanship) to get the goose back. Heck, even the goose goes into crazy territory by steering the ship at one point. And why can Felix talk and not the goose?

Charming older cartoon of Felix and the Goose. It’s very funny and Felix and the goose are very lovable characters. Felix rescues the goose after she is stolen by pirates.
